Introduction

MITSkills Sport has partnered with Sasa Ilic Soccer Academy, leading to the introduction of a 3-week Sports Study Programme in Montenegro.

• Aligned with the UK Government’s vision of a Global Britain, MITSkills Sport and Sasa Ilic Soccer Academy are collaboratively offering this 3-week life changing experience.
• Students will engage in a blend of sports and enrichment activities, with the added benefit of accessing a university setting (UDG).
• Additionally, they will explore the rich culture and natural beauty that Montenegro has to offer.
• Our primary aim is to expand the horizons of young people through sport.
• Participants will receive professional coaching, providing them with the opportunity to showcase their talents and develop their playing and coaching abilities.
• Students will be supervised at all times by MIT tutors and coaches

Programme

• Players will be coached and directed by former professional Football players and UEFA qualified Coaches.
• Full games programme against European teams and other academies from the UK.
• Adventure activities and cultural experiences in Montenegro.
• Receive lectures and learn about sports, sport management and opportunities to progress to higher education in a university setting.
• Participants will discuss their career options with athletes and sports organisations.
• Adventure activities and cultural experiences.
• Attendance at Montenegrin Premier League game.
• Fully supervised evening activities.

Accomodation

Accommodation will be provided at the Hotel Verde a short walk from the University of Donja Gorica campus.

Each room sleeps 2 people with high-quality facilities such as: high-speed wireless Internet, smart TV, air conditioning, direct telephone line, an ensuite bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities.

Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis, and bed linens and towels are changed on a weekly basis. Laundry services for personal items, clothing is available.

Training kit is washed and cleaned at the Football ground.

Students will receive three meals a day as part of the package. Providing a variety of meal options in the canteen is an important and positive aspect of our Football academy program. This can help to ensure that students and athletes are well-nourished and have access to healthy, balanced meals to support their athletic and academic pursuits.  There is a wide range of options to suit different culinary needs, ensuring that all students/players are able to find meals that meet their requirements and preferences.

Costs and Payment Schedule

Cost for this fully inclusive 3-week package is £1,800 per person.

Where is Montenegro and what will the weather be like?

It is located in the southeast of Europe, on the Adriatic coast across from Italy. The weather is approx. 22C in April.

Will my phone work?

You will need to check with your network provider. There is Wi-Fi available free of charge.

Will I need Travel Insurance?

MITSkills Sports will be providing Travel Insurance. However, please register for a ‘free’ UK European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
