Hairdressing Apprenticeship

Locations: Esher, Hersham, Weybridge,Claygate and Cobham

Academy Salon situated in surrey are looking for an apprentice in their Hersham salon to assist in the general day-to-day running of the salon. The chosen apprentice will gain first hand experience in an award winning salon. Full training will be provided by our hair professionals. As an apprentice, you will be working with our fully trained professionals, assisting them in our busy salon.

Duties can include:

  • Meeting and greeting customers
  • To shampoo clients hair, wash off colour, apply toners and treatments
  • Prepare customers for the stylists to cut, tint hair etc
  • Reception duties and book customers appointments
  • As you develop skills you may be given the opportunity to style hair and apply tint and colour
  • Ensuring every client is happy, comfortable and informed throughout their visit
  • Drying and styling hair, mixing and applying dyes and colourants, and perming and relaxing different types of hairs.

Motor Vehicle Technician Apprenticeship

Location Surrey and London

A well-established, large, multi franchise, main dealer is looking for a dedicated motor vehicle apprentice technicians to work towards a Level 3 Motor Vehicle and Maintenance Technician Standard. You will be involved with general servicing and repairs, this will require you to work to manufacturer’s guidelines to ensure the vehicle is operating to its optimum required performance. This opportunity offers an exciting career path into a multi franchise main dealership.

As an apprentice, you will be working alongside a team of experienced technicians, where you will learn to maintain and repair customer’s vehicle to an extremely high standard. You will be working on the latest modern vehicle products and technologies.

Your duties will include:

  • General servicing and repairs, this will require the candidate to work to manufacturer’s guidelines to ensure the vehicle is operating to its optimum required performance.
  • The candidate will be expected to, under guidance and mentoring learn processes and procedures as required in respect of vehicle technical repairs. This will also include manufacturer’s warranty processes and procedures.
  • The candidate will be guided through more complex diagnostic and repair procedures involving electronic vehicle operating systems.

Training to be provided:

  • Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Standard
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English if required

Career Progression:

Upon successful timely completion of the apprenticeship, the candidate will have achieved a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Standard. A candidate’s progression route, after successfully completing a level 3 apprenticeship, will allow them to move forward with a view to progressing into specific manufacturer’s product training at levels 1, 2 and 3, moving on to diagnostic technician, this may lead to master technician training.

Electrical Installation Apprenticeship

Location Surrey and London

Surrey based company seeking enthusiastic electrical apprentices to work alongside qualified electricians and join their friendly team. The candidates will work towards a Level 3 Installation Electrician/Maintenance Electrician apprenticeship standard, and assist in the installation, testing and maintenance of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.

Your duties will include:

  • Assist in the installation, testing and maintenance of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures using hands tools and power tools
  • To carry out a varied range of tasks within the maintenance team assisting colleagues as required 
  • Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices 
  • Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers

Training to be provided:

  • Level 3 Standard Installation Electrician/Maintenance Electrician 
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English if required

Career:

On successful completion of this apprenticeship, you can work as a qualified Electrician where, with more experience, you can look to progress into a senior position, site management or Electrical business owner. 

Paint and Re-finisher Apprenticeship

Location West London

A London based automotive retailer is looking to acquire a dedicated apprentice Paint technician who would be interested in working towards a Level 3 in Vehicle Damage Paint apprenticeship standard.

As an apprentice, you will be mentored alongside experienced paint and body technicians where you will learn to prepare, repair and paint vehicles to a very high standard.

Duties will include:

  • Be able to prepare, spray and finish vehicles using the latest bodyshop technology
  • Ensuring correct colour match and final finish to the vehicle to meet customer expectations
  • The role includes surface repairs including preparation and painting to manufacturers specifications
  • Work as part of a team under supervision
  • Acquire the ability to select and use modern paint techniques including lacquers, whilst using modern equipment and painting processes

Training to be provided:

  • Level 3 Vehicle Damage Paint Technician Apprenticeship Standard
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths if required

Career Progression:

  • Upon completing the apprenticeship, you may wish to progress on to a Level 3 Panel Repair Technician or expand your interest into custom art paint graphics such as paint airbrushing techniques or specialist bespoke paint techniques
  • Other opportunities available will be a Level 4 management role and vehicle assessor

Property Maintenance Operative

Location Surrey

Local trust seeking to appoint an ambitious, highly effective Apprentice Caretaker to join Junior School based in Surrey. This scheme includes training in your Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative qualification. Please be aware that the chosen applicant must complete a DBS check.

What will the apprentice be doing?

The chosen candidate will be working alongside our current Caretaker, with full training and supervised by the school caretaker you will: 

    • Maintain the security of the premises by opening and closing gates, repairing doors, latches and fences, to maintain a safe environment.
    • Undertake daily and periodic cleaning of designated areas as directed to cover for any absence of the cleaner i.e. dusting, vacuuming, cleaning toilets, emptying bins, etc., to ensure a tidy environment is maintained.
    • Ensure outside areas are kept free from litter, sweeping leaves, emptying bins, etc. to maintain a clean and tidy environment. Gritting pathways in the winter.
    • Be responsible for chair and table arrangements for all school functions.
    • Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning materials and supplies (light bulbs, batteries, salt, etc.), to meet the school’s needs.
