Learning and Development

“Being able to review information beforehand and follow a structured plan helped me prepare more effectively. The planning process gave me confidence, as I knew what approach to take before entering the exam. During the OS assessment for my T levels, the support helped me focus on understanding the question properly. I was able to check that I had read the question correctly and ask for basic clarification if needed, which reduced confusion and helped me provide clearer answers.”

Performance

“Through the tailored support provided, Connor was able to overcome barriers related to dyslexia and demonstrate his knowledge and skills more confidently. The combination of academic support, practical integration, and wellbeing strategies enabled him to achieve his goals. Connor’s experience highlights the importance of structured, inclusive support for learners with additional needs. By removing barriers and providing targeted interventions, learners can fully engage with both the theoretical and practical aspects of their course and succeed in their assessments.”

Reflection

“Having a clear strategy meant that if I experienced any difficulties, I was able to stay calm and work through them. The support also helped me during the practical assessment. Because I had already seen and understood the written elements, I found it easier to link the practical work with written explanations. I was able to explain why tasks were completed in a certain way, which improved my understanding of both the practical and theory aspects. Additionally, having the flexibility to take short breaks when needed helped me manage my focus and reduce pressure, allowing me to return to the task more effectively and continue my work.”
