These qualifications are designed for apprentices employed in hospitality roles such as chefs, housekeepers or receptionists, who need to develop or consolidate their skills. Apprentices are required to take mandatory units which cover aspects of maintaining a safe, hygienic and secure working environment, working effectively as part of a hospitality team, giving customers a positive impression of themselves and their organisation and cleaning and servicing a range of housekeeping areas in a hospitality environment.

  • Pathway 2: Hospitality retail outlet supervision

This qualification is designed for apprentices employed in hospitality roles for example bar people/managers, chefs or conference and banqueting assistants/managers, who need to develop or consolidate their skills. Apprentices must take mandatory units that cover aspects of setting objectives and providing support for team members, developing working relationships with colleagues, contributing to the control of resources, maintaining the health, hygiene, safety and security of the working environment, and leading a team to improve customer service in a hospitality environment.
