INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS APPRENTICESHIPS (IAA)
16+ The course is for Students who wish to develop or further their opportunities in any Manufacturing Environment. The aim is to provide anyone with a good foundation for employment within a Manufacturing companies. What will Study?
The IAA Apprenticeship is UK recognised Qualification; It has been developed to provide the required knowledge, Understanding and skills, in the manufacturing sector to prepare learners for employment and progression and/or to provide career development opportunities for those already in work. The course includes:
How will I be assessed? Assessment is on site through a series of practical assignments observations and online multiple choice questions. Supporting this you will receive individual assessment and feedback on your progress from an experienced tutor/assessor. You will be expected to complete all elements of the course to achieve final completion of the award. How long is the course? All students learn at an individual pace and are supported through out their learning journey. The course made up of an initial assessment, in house assessment and is spread over a maximum of 6 – 9 months. What do I gain if successful? On successful completion of IAA you will have a number of options knowing that you have achieved a nationally recognised foundation apprenticeship, along with individual certificates for the elements you have completed. What’s the Cost? For all candidates aged 16-18 the course is fully funded by the Government. It is available to anybody that is working in a manufacturing environment.
