Who is the course for?

You should be employed in the light vehicle maintenance trade or actively seeking a job in the trade.

What will I study?

You will study the theory of motor vehicles either on a day release basis or on a block release, being, usually one week at a time at a college or training centre. Your practical training will take place in your place of work and will be monitored by one of our assessors visiting you regularly.

What will I need for the course?

A keen interest in motor vehicles is important.

 

 

How will I be assessed?

You will take some written tests and complete on-line tests at the college. In the workplace our assessor will observe you carrying out certain tasks.

How long is the course?

2 years for a level 2 apprenticeship
A further one year for a level 3 advanced apprenticeship

What do I gain if successful?

A recognised Level 2 and Level 3 Framework Apprenticeship which will enable you to work in the industry and progress further in the Motor Trade.

The Cost

For all candidates aged 16-18 the course is fully funded by the Government. It is available to anybody that is working in the industry. Outside of the 16-18 age group costs will be dependant on individual candidate & employer details.
