<td><strong>Who is the course for?</strong><br />
You should be employed in the vehicle refinishing trade or actively  seeking a job in the trade. This can be in either a light or heavy vehicle  workshop. You should have a keen interest in vehicle refinishing (painting).  You should have a good eye for detail and colour.</p>
<p><strong>What will I study?</strong></p>
<p>You will study the various techniques in preparing vehicle panels. You  will learn how to mix and apply various types of primers and how to mix, tint  and apply various types of colour and laquers. You will also learn how to  rectify minor paint defects. You will study at a purpose built college. This  will be roughly seven weekly blocks per year. Accommadation will be found for  you. <strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>What  will I need for the course?</strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong>You should have a  good eye for detail and colour. You should be a ‘clean’ worker and be able to  work on your own.</p>
<p><strong>How will I be assessed?</strong></p>
<p>You will be assessed by a competent assessor in the college were you  study. You will also be assessed by your assessor in your workplace</p>
<p><strong>How long is the course?</strong></p>
<p>2 years for a level 2 apprenticeship<br />
3 years for a level 3 advanced apprenticeship</p>
<p><strong>What do I gain if successful?</strong></p>
<p>A recognised Level 2 and Level 3 Framework Apprenticeship which will  enable you to work in the industry and progress to a fruitful career.</p>
<p><strong>The  Cost</strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong>For all candidates aged 16-18 the course is fully funded by the  Government. It is available to anybody that is working in the industry. Outside  of the 16-18 age group costs will be dependant on individual candidate &amp;  employer details.</p>

<p>The Institute of  The Motor Industry Certificate AC1r- Refrigerant Handling Certificate</p>

<p>You will study the theory of motor vehicles either on a day release basis or on a block release, being, usually one week at a time at a college or training centre. Your practical training will take place in your place of work and will be monitored by one of our assessors visiting you regularly.<strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>What will I need for the course?</strong></p>
<p>A keen interest in motor vehicles is important.</p>

<p><strong>Applications are invited for the following positions:</strong></p>
<h3>Hair Dressing Lecturer/Assessor</h3>
<p>As the hairdressing lecturer you will be expected to deliver high quality teaching and learning by providing students with a planned learning experience, managing the learning process, guiding and supporting learners.</p>
<p>A certificate in Education or recognized teaching qualification is desirable but not essential, experience of teaching, training peers or transferring skills to others, e.g. training, coaching; mentoring is desirable though not essential.  To be considered you must hold D32/A1 qualifications or willing to work towards and have at relevant trade experience. You will also have the confidence, skills and ability to start and hit the ground running.</p>
<h3>Plumbing Lecturer/Assessor</h3>
<p>You will be expected to manage a case load of learners, liaise with employers and that your learners progress through their qualifications.  You will have a Background in the industry and qualified to NVQ level three.  Ideally you will have knowledge of the private training sector, hold a relevant teaching qualification and be A1/D32 qualified with experience of work place assessment.  You must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills, enthusiastic, well-motivated, and flexible.</p>
<h3>Clerical Apprentice</h3>
<p>We have an opportunity for an excellent quality apprenticeship enabling you to gain a recognised qualification and learn whilst you earn. The role would involve general administration duties including: Answering the telephone, photocopying, filing, greeting visitors and updating bespoke computer system. You must be polite have a good telephone manner, computer literate and be capable of working in a very busy environment</p>
