Spread over a period of two years our courses offer level 1 and level 2 qualifications.

Pre – Apprenticeships
Our full time courses are aimed at 16 – 18 year olds. Looking to pursue a career in Motor Vehicle, Construction or Hairdressing. Courses include CV construction, job search techniques and functional skills.
On successful completion students can gain a Level 1 Qualification. Learners will be assisted in finding employment and gaining the skills to become successful in the sector of their choice.

H airdressing Apprenticeship Courses
Aimed at learners wanting to become fully qualified hairdressers. Both Level 2 & Level 3 apprenticeships will be achieved. The learners are assessed for competence in the workplace, and attend the training centre for the thoery part of the course.

Construction Apprenticeship Courses
Level 2 & Level 3 apprenticeship courses in electrical or plumbing. Course is targeted to be industry focused and will enable the learner to become fully qualified in the sector. Learners attend a one day per week course at M.I.T. and are assessed in employment to prove competence in the chosen subject.

Motor Vehicle Apprenticeship Courses
All learners are assessed in the workplace and can attend either day or block release courses. Once completed the learner is a fully qualified Motor Vehicle Technician.
All aspects of the motor trade can be covered on a wide variety of courses. These are comprehensive courses lasting over 2 years for level 2 and 3 years for level 3.

Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) Courses
This City and Guilds 6302 Qualification (which replaces the C&G 7307) is suitable for anyone who is currently working in education and training or who is planning to enter the profession – this means you don’t have to have to have any previous teaching qualifications or experience. The course is an initial step on the way to becoming a qualified teacher.
This nationally recognised course leads to a professional teaching qualification and as such requires your very active participation. The course is assessed by the completion of coursework, assignments and a microteaching session.
