How long is the course?

Level 2 is 18 -24 months
Level 3 is one additional year

What do I gain if successful?

Level 2 NVQ PEO
Level 2 Technical Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology
The opportunity to progress on to a Level 3 Electrical Installation Qualification

The Cost

For all candidates aged 16-18 the course is fully funded by the Government. It is available to anybody that is working in the industry. Outside of the 16-18 age group costs will be dependant on individual candidate & employer details

16+ who have completed Level 2 and working in the industry

What will I study?

Ensuring safe site working
Providing technical and functional information to relevant people
Diagnose and correct faults in electrotechnical systems & equipment
Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment
Preparing to install electrical wiring systems, wiring enclosures and equipment
Installing electrical wiring systems, wiring enclosures and equipment
Connecting wiring systems and equipment using safe and approved methods
Inspect, test and commission an electrical installation
Electrical Installation Science and theory
Key Skills

 

 

 

Optional Units

 

 

There are no optional units. All units must be completed to gain the qualification

The opportunity to progress on to other Level 3 qualifications including Testing and Inspection or 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
