MIT Skills is a leading private training provider based in the South East with a proven track record of delivering high quality vocational training to apprentices and adult trainees across the motor, construction, manufacturing, engineering, retail and hairdressing industries. Due to our recent success we are looking to expand our team and require skilled, motivated people to join our team.

Applications are invited for the following positions:

Hair Dressing Lecturer/Assessor

As the hairdressing lecturer you will be expected to deliver high quality teaching and learning by providing students with a planned learning experience, managing the learning process, guiding and supporting learners.

A certificate in Education or recognized teaching qualification is desirable but not essential, experience of teaching, training peers or transferring skills to others, e.g. training, coaching; mentoring is desirable though not essential. To be considered you must hold D32/A1 qualifications or willing to work towards and have at relevant trade experience. You will also have the confidence, skills and ability to start and hit the ground running.

Plumbing Lecturer/Assessor

You will be expected to manage a case load of learners, liaise with employers and that your learners progress through their qualifications. You will have a Background in the industry and qualified to NVQ level three. Ideally you will have knowledge of the private training sector, hold a relevant teaching qualification and be A1/D32 qualified with experience of work place assessment. You must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills, enthusiastic, well-motivated, and flexible.

Clerical Apprentice

We have an opportunity for an excellent quality apprenticeship enabling you to gain a recognised qualification and learn whilst you earn. The role would involve general administration duties including: Answering the telephone, photocopying, filing, greeting visitors and updating bespoke computer system. You must be polite have a good telephone manner, computer literate and be capable of working in a very busy environment
