Business and Administration Apprenticeship Level 2 and Level 3

This qualification develops and accredits knowledge and skills you need as an apprentice to work in a Business Administration role. This qualification provides you as an apprentice with a range of business and administrative skills such as collating and reporting data, organising business travel and accommodation, archiving information, negotiating in a business environment, managing an office facility and monitoring information systems.

What will I need for the course?

  • You will have an initial assessment when you come in for an interview, and this will show the level of English and maths qualifications, known as functional skills, that you will study alongside your apprenticeship. You will need to be employed with a company and attend college once a week or be seen by your training provider regularly.

How will I be assessed?

  • Your skills and knowledge will be assessed in the work place by an appointed assessor/tutor who will assess your skills, competence and knowledge.

How long is the course?

  • A Level 2 apprenticeship usually takes around 12 to 18 months to complete depending on the framework being followed and your ability as an apprentice. A level 3 is one additional year.

 

What do I gain if successful?

  • The Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to progress on to the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in a Business Administration. Effective administration is vital to every successful business and skilled administrators are always in high demand.
  • Once you have completed your Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, you will be able to apply to a range of Universities. A Level 3 Advanced Business and Administration apprenticeship can help you succeed in a support role in any size or type of organisation. These roles include:
  • Secretary
  • Receptionist
  • Administrator
  • Personal assistant
  • Office supervisor
  • Team leader
  • Manager

 

How much does it cost?

  • for all candidates aged 16-18 the course is fully funded by the Government. It is available to anybody working in the industry.
  • outside of the 16-18 age group costs will be dependent on individual candidate and employer details.
