M.I.T. Skills Future Centred Apprenticeships

M.I.T. Skills is an employer centred training provider with sector specific sites across England and running several employer bespoke apprenticeships to both larger national employers and SMEs.

Our management team has a history of successful apprenticeship programmes and training contracts including Best Engineering Plant of the Year 2015.

We have skilled trainers who deliver Apprenticeships in Business and Management, Engineering and Manufacturing, Construction, Motor Vehicle, Activity Leadership, Health and Social Care and Supporting Teaching and Learning.

Work based training which combines practical training with an in-depth study programme. The apprentice is a full-time member of staff who combines on the job training with college attendance; this leads to nationally recognised qualifications that are specific to your careers.

An Apprenticeship is work based training which combines practical training on a job with an in-depth study programme. The apprentice is a full-time member of staff who combines on the job training with college attendance; this leads to nationally recognised qualifications that are specific to your business needs. Taking between 1 and 4 years to complete the apprentice works alongside an experienced member of staff, to gain job-specific skills. Designed for school leavers not in full time education to gain qualifications relevant to an employer or the specific apprenticeship, or key functional skills.

Programme Types

SP

School Programmes

M.I.T. Skills work together with local schools to ensure learners benefit from a nationally recognised work-based qualification. The qualification shows employers the candidate is competent to undertake work-based tasks. The programme also improves communication, maths and English skills, whilst letting the learners work at their own pace.

T

Traineeship

Traineeships are work experience programmes designed to help young people interested in taking the first steps into their future career prior to an apprenticeship. A traineeship can develop the appropriate skills or experience needed to get an apprenticeship for those aged between 16 and 24 years old.

Pre - Apprenticeship

Work based training which combines on the job practical experience with part-time study. It is designed for school leavers who are not involved in full-time education. The learner works alongside an experienced member of staff to gain job-specific skills, and a vocational qualification.

Customised Courses

Here at M.I.T. Skills we do not just provided standardised course, but can also create a tailor-made course to meet the requirements of the business and the apprentice. In addition we can also create advanced bespoke courses for experienced professionals who wish to gain new skills.

The process we undertake prior to creating a customised course is to first assess the client's requirements or the learner's skills. Once we have assessed the needs we can proceed to create a bespoke course based on these needs.
